--A pronoun takes the place of a noun.
ex: After Amy’s final exam, she breathed a sigh of relief.
Case: what role a pronoun has in a sentence
Subjective: the pronoun does take the action in the sentence. Is located before the verb in the sentence. (to the left of the verb)
example: I fell asleep while reading my book.
Objective: the pronoun does not take the action in the sentence. Is located after the verb in the sentence. (to the right of the verb)
example: Mike hit me.
